On September 6^th in Calgary, we celebrated the launch of our Alberta Chapter with President Scott Burns and special guests.

The event brought business and community leaders together with military members and CAF leadership representing the 3^rd Canadian Army Division.

We are so excited to expand our western Canada footprint, build important bridges with community and business leaders, and support those who serve or have served in the Canadian Armed Forces, as well as their families.

We are committed to the growth of our Alberta Chapter and look forward to hosting a CAF Experience Day at Canadian Forces Base Edmonton on October 12^th.

In August, we held our biggest event of the year, our 16^th Annual Scholarship Ceremony, at the prestigious National Club in Toronto. Special guests included The Honourable Elizabeth Dowdeswell, Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, and Lieutenant-General E.J. Kenny, Commander of the RCAF.

With support from our donors, Canada Company is proud to champion education and recognize the selfless sacrifices that Canada’s military personnel make serving our country.

During this year’s ceremony, we awarded 25 scholarships to the children of military members who made the ultimate sacrifice serving in the Canadian Armed Forces.

The ceremony was very moving and well-attended by Canadian defence circles: General Kenny, was accompanied by RCAF CWO John Hall along with Colonel John McEwan, Commander of 32 Canadian Brigade Group and Veterans Ombudsmen Nishika Jardine. There was also a personal video address by Canadian actor, Adam Beach, who has starred in 60+ films and movies including Flags of our Father, directed by Client Eastwood. To date, we’ve awarded 244 scholarships to 83 beneficiaries — totalling $1,026,000.

Every year, Canada Company awards bursaries to outstanding youth in the Junior Canadian Rangers (JCR) and Cadets Canada to use towards educational opportunities.

This year, 22 JCR and 30 Cadets were selected for their leadership, teamwork, skills development, and support to their communities. Congratulations to all the 2023 award recipients!

Canada Company is a proud supporter of the RCAF Foundation Scholarship Program to assist Canada's next generation of aviation and aerospace leaders.

This year, we provided funding for two scholarships that were awarded to Craig Fairfull, a soon to be aviation student at Mount Royal University, and Shawn Turcotte, who is studying biochemistry at the University of Regina.

The future is bright for these young men, and we’re honoured to help them pursue their dreams!

To celebrate 25 years of the Junior Canadian Rangers Program, Canada Company sponsored the design and distribution of 5,000 special commemorative coins. On August 3^rd, we presented the coins to Junior Canadian Rangers in Whitehorse, Yukon at their Annual Leadership Training event. All other JCRs have received their coins through their Patrols back home.

The 2022—23 school year was the biggest ever for Je Me Souviens in the province of Quebec and we are looking forward to continuing this momentum in 2023-24! Keep your eye on the JMS website (www.jemesouviens.org) for our new educational exhibition “Through Vines and Mines: the Canadian Army in Italy,” coming this fall.

Building on the success of Je Me Souviens in Quebec, Canada Company will be bringing its educational program to Ontario under the theme of, “Honouring Bravery.”

Educational materials, including travelling exhibitions, virtual content, and turnkey activities will be available in 2024. These materials will feature Canadian heroes, Ontario military content, and will be adapted to fit the Ontario curriculum.
